This letter from Alfred to a friend in Germany (scanned and sent to me by email) is classic Alfred, his spirit and humour fully intact. Dear Thomas,
Thank you very much for your last letter dated 22 July 26, as well as all your previous letters and the stamps.

I’m delighted with the 53-page indictment and the requested sentence of one year for every single Jew who was gassed by the Germanic peoples. The outcome will lie somewhere between 0 and 6,000,000. An exciting game. Bets are being taken.
Thomas, my whole life has been much the same as it is now. My cell under the roof is very hot; the way out of this situation is a specific goal, and I must remain steadfast and determined, whatever the circumstances may be. Mein Schreiben nach draussen ist seit längerer Zeit auf ein Minimum geschrumpft wegen Monatelange “Kontrollen” bei der “Spuren Beseitigungs Abteil” der Wahrheits Ministerium. Spass beiseite, ich werde doch zu Wort kommen ab den 7. September 2026.
Bernau war eine tolle Zeit für mich, da habe ich die Schneiderei gemanaged, und im Grunde auch alle mit ein Krümel Verstand auch was Politik betrifft auf Vordermann gebracht. Von allen Faktionen, in Uniform und in Ketten. Die Köterdressur durch Angst und Aberglaube trift nun auf eine Felswand aus Verstand, unwiderlegbare historische Fakten und unwiderlegbare Beweise. Keiner will das Schlusslicht sein in dieser natürliche biologische Reaktion auf diese Krankheit die ich am liebsten als Programmfehler bezeichne. Wenn Du ein fehlerhaftes Betriebssystem auf dein Rechner hast, Thomas, dann empfehle ich Dir, als alter IBM Rentner, einfach deine Festplatte neu zu formattieren und das alte fehlerhafte Betriebssystem richtig zu löschen. Nimm nur dann deinen größten Hammer und schlag das Ding tot fals es sich nicht neu formatieren läßt. In 6,000,000 Stücke! Sonst sterben wir Alle.

Thomas, mein ganzes Leben war so ähnlich wie jetzt. Meine Zelle unter dem Dach ist sehr heiß, der Ausgang aus dieser Situation ist ein bestimmtes Ziel, und da muß ich stabil und entschlossen bleiben, egal was die Umstände sein mögen. Interresant wird sein die unterschiedlichen Ausreden der Menschen nach Sonnenaufgang – worum sie die vielen vielen Themen nicht mit auch nur ein Wort erwähnt hatten bevor es dann doch der allerletzte Dorf Trottel und sogar der lobotomierter Kastrat es gewusst hat. Peinlich Peinlich Peinlich…
Diese Sache ist so leicht aufzuhalten wie wenn Du versuchen würdest ein Orkan mit ein Furz aufzuhalten. Mein Rat – versuche es nicht einmal. Die Menschen würden Dich nur auslachen!
